Is your front door looking outdated or simply no longer fitting the vibe of your newly renovated interior? Don’t panic! Replacing a door can be an expensive task, but there’s a simpler, budget-friendly solution: a fresh coat of paint. With a little time, effort, and no more than 1000 rubles for paint and supplies, you can completely transform your front door and give it a whole new look!

One woman decided to repaint her front door to match her newly updated interior, and the results are fantastic.
A message from her:
Front doors are often one of the most expensive elements of a home renovation, so I wanted to find a more affordable way to update mine. The door itself was in great condition, but the color just didn’t suit the new design of my home. With some leftover paint from another project, I decided to give it a makeover.

First, I cleaned and degreased the door to ensure proper adhesion. Then, I applied three coats of paint, using a brush for the hard-to-reach areas and a roller for the larger surfaces. To add some extra durability, I added impact-resistant moldings along the edge and finished it off with a protective layer of varnish.

The door has been in daily use for six months now, and I’m happy to report that it still looks as good as new. It’s easy to clean, and the color has held up beautifully.

It’s amazing what a simple paint job can do! The transformation is remarkable, and this cost-effective update has made all the difference to my home’s interior.
