Kevin Costner has opened up about the real factors that led to his departure from the popular series “Yellowstone.” A significant part of his decision stemmed from extended and difficult discussions regarding the division of Season 5 into two halves. Costner explained that there were no scripts ready for the second half, and the first half of the season had not yet wrapped up, which caused major disruptions to his schedule.
In addition, Costner is deeply invested in his own project, “Horizon: An American Saga.” The overlapping timelines for filming “Yellowstone” and his new Western film made it challenging for him to juggle both productions effectively.
Financial disagreements also contributed to his decision. Costner revealed that the compensation offered for the new seasons was considerably lower than what he had earned in the past, which he found unsatisfactory. Despite attempts to negotiate a more equitable deal, they were unable to come to an agreement.
