Reese Witherspoon turned a movie premiere in Nashville into a full family affair. The 50-year-old actress arrived at the film festival accompanied by her children from her former marriage to Ryan Phillippe, as well as her mother.
There was an important reason for the family reunion in front of the cameras. They had come together to support Reese’s 22-year-old son, Deacon Phillippe, whose new film Brother Save Us was premiering at the festival.
Witherspoon happily posed on the carpet surrounded by three generations of her family. Standing alongside the actress was her 78-year-old mother, Betty, as well as her 27-year-old daughter Ava and Deacon, who was at the center of attention thanks to his latest acting project.
Ava has also been making appearances of her own in the fashion world. She recently stepped onto the runway for the Vogue World show during Milan Fashion Week, adding another high-profile event to her growing list of public appearances.
Deacon, meanwhile, has increasingly found himself in the spotlight alongside his famous mother. During an earlier outing with Reese, the 22-year-old attracted particular attention because of his resemblance to his father, actor Ryan Phillippe.
Reese and Ryan’s story goes back to the late 1990s. The Cruel Intentions co-stars married in 1999, the same year they welcomed their daughter Ava.
Four years later, their son Deacon was born. The marriage eventually came to an end, and Reese and Ryan divorced in 2008.
Three years after the divorce, Witherspoon married talent agent Jim Toth. The couple later welcomed a son, Tennessee, giving Reese her third child.
That marriage also eventually ended. Reese and Jim separated three years ago.
This time, however, the focus was firmly on Deacon and his new movie. With his mother, sister and grandmother all beside him, the young actor had plenty of family support as he celebrated the premiere in Nashville.
