Kim Kardashian received an extraordinary birthday surprise when she was granted exclusive access to Bulgari’s private jewelry vault in Rome to try on Elizabeth Taylor’s famous emerald necklace.
The 46-year-old reality star entered the highly secured archives thanks to her stylist, Law Roach, who arranged the rare visit as a special gift.
Kardashian shared a video of the experience, showing Bulgari representatives presenting the priceless jewelry to her and her mother, Kris Jenner.

Before seeing the necklace, Kim jokingly asked whether everyone was ready for her to faint. She later video-called Roach while wearing it, thanking him for what she described as the best birthday present of her life.
The necklace was originally given to Elizabeth Taylor by actor Richard Burton as an engagement gift in 1962. He later added a detachable emerald brooch for their wedding in 1964.

The spectacular piece features 16 Colombian emeralds weighing more than 60 carats. After Taylor’s death, the jewelry was sold at Christie’s, with the complete necklace fetching more than $12.7 million.
Kardashian’s visit took place during her promotional trip for the television series All’s Fair, in which she plays a leading role and recreates some of Taylor’s iconic looks.
Kim has long admired the Hollywood legend and revealed that she once spoke with Taylor by telephone shortly before her death in 2011.
The reality star also collects famous celebrity memorabilia. She previously purchased Taylor’s jade bracelets, Princess Diana’s amethyst cross for $197,000 and Jacqueline Kennedy’s watch for $379,000.

In 2022, Kardashian famously wore Marilyn Monroe’s original dress to the Met Gala, sparking controversy over reports that the historic garment had been damaged.
Her collection also includes Michael Jackson’s velvet jacket and white fedora, which she purchased for her daughter North West.
The exclusive Bulgari visit offered Kardashian a rare opportunity to experience one of Hollywood’s most iconic pieces of jewelry firsthand.
