A dated 47 m² apartment got a stunning makeover in just one month — see the before and after

“She renovated the entire apartment in just 30 days — without tearing down a single wall” 🛠️✨ With clever design, painted tile, and smart reuse of old furniture, this 47 m² flat went from dated to dazzling on a tight budget. See the before-and-after in the article below 👇🏡

Turning an outdated flat into a fresh, modern home in just 30 days sounds nearly impossible — but that’s exactly what one homeowner set out to do. With a limited budget and a tight timeline, the goal was to create a warm and stylish space not only for everyday living but also to welcome relatives who would soon move in.

To make it happen, the owner enlisted the help of a designer who knew how to stretch every penny — without gutting the space or diving into major construction.

The transformation of this modest 47-square-meter apartment was nothing short of amazing.

Rather than completely reworking the layout, the team focused on optimizing what was already there. The larger room now serves a dual purpose — both a cozy bedroom and a living area — while the smaller space was cleverly converted into a home office that can double as a guest room.

The biggest changes came from simple but effective cosmetic updates. Fresh wallpaper and paint gave the walls a new lease on life. The worn wooden flooring was sanded and varnished, restoring its shine. Even the tiles in the kitchen and bathroom were brought back to life — not replaced, but painted over for a clean, modern look.

Creativity was key when it came to cost-saving measures.

Instead of discarding the old kitchen cabinetry, parts of it were repurposed to build a sleek desk and storage unit. A tired old cupboard was brought into the present day with just a few coats of paint.

In the bedroom, a bed with built-in storage underneath made use of every inch. A compact, comfy sofa made the living space feel welcoming without taking up too much room.

Since the existing electrical setup wasn’t altered, lighting choices were carefully planned to work with what was already there. The designer opted for clean, minimalist fixtures and added layered lighting — wall sconces and LED strips — to make the space feel warm and inviting.

Even the bathroom got a subtle glow-up, with a backlit mirror adding both style and functionality.

All of this was completed in just four weeks — a testament to what thoughtful design and smart planning can accomplish.
