No one gave a second thought to buy this miserable apartment with knocked-down walls and rotting floor, but now everyone dreams of living here! 😉👌 It shows how to turn a neglected place into a modern and cozy apartment! ⚒️🧱 The before-after photos of the makeover blew up the network! 💥🤩 I will show them to you too in this article! 👇
Before the Makeover:
Size: 35 m²
Layout: One-bedroom
Building Type: Stalinka
Condition: Run-down
The Design Goals:
Create an open, airy layout
Define functional zones for comfortable living
Preserve the architectural charm of the Empire-style elements
Let’s take a look at how it all came together.

Entryway & Main Space:
To maximize the available space, the kitchen and living area were merged into a single, cohesive zone. The entire apartment was given a light, neutral color palette to create an illusion of spaciousness.

Rather than dedicating an area to a traditional living room, the focus shifted to a proper bedroom setup. A built-in storage system cleverly separates the sleeping area from the rest of the space, adding both privacy and functionality.

One standout feature is the exposed brick wall, which was freshened up with a coat of white paint. Instead of a bulky entertainment unit, a projector was installed on the wall, keeping surfaces free for additional storage.

Kitchen:
The kitchen embraces a minimalist aesthetic, featuring a combination of white, black, and natural wood tones. This simple yet stylish approach creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Bathroom:
The original bathroom, which occupied a significant portion of the floor plan, was redesigned for efficiency. A spacious walk-in shower replaced the old bathtub, making the space feel more open. The flooring features decorative tiles, while the walls contrast white tiles with darker accents in the shower area, adding depth and character.

The Final Transformation:
Preserved historical details while integrating modern elements
Optimized zoning for practicality and comfort
Used a bright color palette to enhance the sense of space
Incorporated multi-functional furniture and smart storage solutions

This project is a perfect example of how a neglected apartment can be completely reimagined into a functional and stylish home.
