Despite their financial challenges, the couple turned two cargo containers into a two-story home. Their remarkable journey began in 2014 when they acquired a plot of land in Washington.
Tragically, Dave was diagnosed with a cerebral hemorrhage shortly after. He spent a considerable amount of time in rehabilitation. Thankfully, he survived, and the couple soon began to bring their dream to life.
Though Dave lost the use of his right side, he refused to let this setback derail his dream. He credits the building process with helping him recover from his devastating illness.
By 2016, their home was completed, and Dave had miraculously regained 85 percent of his mobility. The ground floor features a bathroom, guest room, and a storage pantry.
The second floor houses the bedrooms and a balcony that offers a breathtaking view, leaving no one unmoved by its beauty.
