Distance doesn’t make the bond any weaker — if anything, it makes the moments together more emotional.
Kelly Ripa shared a touching message for her daughter, Lola Consuelos, after seeing her during a rare family visit.
The TV host posted a heartfelt comment under Lola’s latest Instagram post, reminding fans how difficult it can be for families living on different continents. Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, live and work in New York, while their 24-year-old daughter has been building her own life and music career in London.
In the post, Lola shared a small collection of photos from her day. In one image she wore a black jacket and blue scarf — a look many followers said made her resemble her famous mother. Another photo showed her in low-heeled shoes and pink leg warmers, while a fourth captured her wearing a shimmering face mask during her beauty routine.
She captioned the post simply with “#today,” adding a roller-skate emoji.
Ripa couldn’t hide how much she misses her daughter. “I wish we were together,” she wrote in the comments, adding several heart emojis.
Despite the distance, the family recently shared a special moment in London. Last December, Ripa and Consuelos secretly flew across the Atlantic to surprise Lola at the debut performance of her EP Sorry, It’s All About Me.
Trying not to distract her, the couple hid backstage wearing caps and blending into the crowd. But Lola eventually noticed them during the performance.
A few days later, the proud parents shared the story with viewers of their morning show. Mark revealed that Lola had actually asked them not to attend because she felt nervous and didn’t want the pressure.
So they decided to sneak in quietly instead — even buying “Peaky Blinders-style” caps to stay unnoticed. In the end, the surprise worked.
And even across an ocean, the message between them remains the same: family always finds a way to show up.
