Ben Affleck was firmly in the spotlight in Los Angeles as he stepped onto the red carpet for the premiere of his new crime thriller *Animals*.
The project is an especially personal one for the Hollywood star. Affleck not only plays the leading role in the film but also directed it and worked as one of its screenwriters, taking responsibility for several of the production’s most important creative roles.

For the premiere, Ben was joined by his longtime friend and collaborator Matt Damon. The pair posed together on the red carpet, once again putting their famous friendship and professional partnership on display.
Damon is also connected to the new movie behind the scenes, serving as one of its producers. He attended the premiere alongside his wife, Luciana Barroso.
Affleck and Damon were surrounded by a large group of familiar faces during the evening. Steven Yeun, French Montana and Kevin Pollak were among the guests, while cast members Adriana Paz, Luis Gerardo Méndez and Ray Fisher also attended the event.
Kerry Washington was another Hollywood star who appeared at the premiere to support the project.

In *Animals*, Affleck plays Los Angeles mayoral candidate Mark Kimball, whose seemingly established life is suddenly thrown into crisis when his son is kidnapped.
Mark and his wife are forced to find the money demanded as ransom, but their desperate search begins exposing secrets hidden within their own family.
As more truths emerge, the couple face the possibility of losing far more than money. Their marriage and public reputation are both placed at risk as the kidnapping forces them to confront what they have tried to keep hidden.
For Affleck, the Los Angeles premiere marked the culmination of a project in which he was involved both in front of and behind the camera — making him the undeniable center of attention on the red carpet.
