A cat diagnosed with a rare disease, which will maintain him small for the rest of his life

A cutie, that will need to have continual examinations for his disease

Munchie is a seven months old cat, that seems be a newborn. The cat was diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism, an illness that would maintain him small for the rest of his life. The cat’s condition was very unique and it had been diagnosed once before with another animal.

Munchie’s mother Emily Tomlinson discovered him at the vet clinic, where she works. She considers he was abandoned when he was only 4 weeks old because of his blear eyes, a disease doesn’t affect his vision.

But Munchie’s illness affected not only his appearance. Emily took him to the vet on Boxing Day when he fall. The vet told, that it was the result of a very low calcium levels in his blood. Munchie’s four day vet visit was 2500£, that Emily considers viral. She also told, that she will do everything needed to give the cat the life he deserves.

It’s not an easy task to become Munchie. Emily tells she feeds him 6-8 times a day, and also one meal at night, as he eats very little, almost 15 gram quantities like a kitten.

Munchie is a cutie, that will need to have continual blood tests and medical examinations for the rest of his life.He is already lucky to have an owner like Emily, who takes care of him and loves him as much as he needs her.

And here’s a sweet video of Munchie playing with his mother.
