Wild horses appreciate their families and their partners 🐎🤗
Skydog Sanctuary adopted a horse named Phoenix. After his arrival he was introduced to other male horses and they seemed to befriend with one another.
The founder of the sanctuary Clare Staples saw his picture jumping over a high fence and considered to rescue him. But all the other photos he was captured with a mare.
Clare was able to rescue Phoenix, but she couldn’t find the mare, although she wanted to take them to the sanctuary together. But she didn’t lose her hope and continued her search for the mare, that Phoenix seemed to adore.
She also told about the Phoenix behavior at first. He told, that at first he was very upset and seemed to search for something or someone. And he is still searching hoping to find his family.
And after a few months Clare received a photo of a mare, who needed help. And it was the best thing to see the very mare, that she was looking for. And she considered doing all the possible things to reunite the mare with Phoenix.
Clare named the mare Ghost. When Ghost finally arrived at the sanctuary they opened the gate and she was allowed to run into the vast enclosure. Phoenix was on the other side of the hill.
After Phoenix finally recognized Ghost he immediately calls and approaches her with joy. He couldn’t believe his eyes, that Ghost was there. Clare tells their reunion story, that the wild horses were separated for almost two years and after the reunion it seemed as if they had never been apart.
We should realize, that family is very important for wild horses.
Clare explains, that they had an unbelievably strong bond and they touched their noses to one another to make sure they are finally together.
What an adorable story. We are happy for the horses, that were reunited after a long period of being apart. And they don’t want to leave one another’s side in the future.
