Patrick Swayze is one of the most well-known Hollywood actors, famous for his role in the romantic movie “Dirty Dancing”. He was the wanted man by millions of women.
It is quite uncommon that someone would not think of this attractive man as the prince of old fairy tales. Attractive, singing, dancing, Hollywood celebrity, he had everything any woman could desire. It is a pity that this great actor has to be spoken of in the past tense.
His hobbies explained him as a true man: rodeo, horseback riding, auto racing as well as skydiving. But at the same time, Patrick was a tender, romantic individual.
When he was 14, he encountered his wife to be at a dance school. At the time, actress Lisa Niemi was a student of Patrick’s mother, a gifted choreographer. Lisa varied from her peers. She never made an attempt to get Swayze’s attention. Once, Lisa hit Patrick for an “occasional” hug.
Her invulnerability attracted Patrick. And soon he became attached to her, she won his heart for life.
Their relationship started as a common companionship. Patrick and Lisa talked for hours.
They couldn’t get enough of each other. Their relationship was honest and sincere.
Patrick had an irresistible wish to increase his talents, which is the reason that he left Lisa. He moved to New York in order to find himself in ballet dancing.
Lisa could not live without him and followed him. Shortly the couple made their relationship legal. They were on cloud nine together and had the desire to start a family and have babies. But, sadly, after two miscarriages, the couple no longer had hope for anything else.
Later, because of all the experiences, Patrick became addicted to alcohol, cocaine, and cigarettes. Recovery helped him get rid of some habits. But he carried on smoking even after he was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 57.
Even despite such a grave disease, Patrick carried on playing the role of an FBI agent during the filming of the series “The Beast”. In between filming, he went through chemo to get as fit as possible with protein. But the illness increased very rapidly.
He was such a powerful personality that he rejected painkillers.
After filming the show, he went to a ranch where he meditated while drinking freshly squeezed vegetable juice.
Swayze always repeated “With this terrible illness, we have nothing but caveman tools. You fight the monster with poison but your body is able to take in as much poison as it can and you’re still working.”
His incomparable Lisa was always next to him until the death of the actor on September 14, 2009. She supported him in every possible way and loved him more than life itself. Their love leaves no one unaffected.
