Jennifer Lopez Looks Less Than Impressed After Being Asked to Give Up Her Umbrella at Paris Fashion Show

Jennifer Lopez brought her signature glamour to the Stella McCartney fashion show in Paris, but her front-row appearance included an unexpected moment when the rainy weather created an awkward situation.

The 57-year-old singer and actress arrived at the outdoor presentation prepared for the rain, holding an umbrella over herself as she sat among the guests.

However, while waiting for the show to unfold, Lopez was informed that she needed to close the umbrella and hand it over to a member of staff.

A woman seated behind her discreetly passed along the request. Lopez initially responded with an surprised “Oh” and continued holding the open umbrella for a short while.

She eventually closed it and handed it over, leaving herself exposed to the rain as she remained seated in the front row. Her reaction suggested that the request had caught her off guard.

Lopez was seated near British actress and comedian Diane Morgan and Stella McCartney’s husband, Alasdhair Willis. A vacant seat beside the singer had reportedly been reserved for Anna Wintour, who ultimately did not appear.

The fashion presentation took place in the gardens of the British ambassador’s residence, with the rain continuing as models made their way down the runway.

Juliette Binoche was also among the guests, while Karlie Kloss and Miranda Kerr appeared on the catwalk.

The collection itself placed an emphasis on protecting the oceans, continuing Stella McCartney’s longstanding approach to fashion without animal-derived leather, fur or feathers.

Yet away from the runway, Lopez’s little umbrella incident became an unexpected moment of its own — turning a rainy afternoon at Paris Fashion Week into something considerably more memorable.
