Here is the prominent actor who became overall-known for his legendary role in the movie “The Green Mile” which tells the story of a guy who was sentenced to death for killing two girls. Whereas only few actually know what the life of the outstanding film star was like in reality.
The legendary man was born to an incomplete family where the single mother raised both him and his sister completely alone. While growing up, Michael joined a basketball club and entered a special university for African Americans. Whereas he soon quitted on sports and was obliged to drop out of studies because of his mother’s illness. In order to keep his family, the young guy found a job as a security guard at the club later becoming a bodyguard due to his physique and strength.
It should be noted that Michael started his career as an actor at the age of 30. His first major role was in the film “Armageddon”. 1988. While being on set, he was fortunate enough to meet Bruce Willis who paved a way for the film “The Green Mile” for the actor. It is relevant to mention that for his brilliant role the film star was nominated a Golden Globe as well as an Oscar. After this great film, the iconic man participated in “Sin City”, “Planet of the Apes” and so many others. What is more, Duncan was actively engaged in voice acting in a number of cartoons, commercials as well as computer games.
Misfortunately, Michael had a heart attack 10 years ago which was followed by cardiac arrest. Initially, he was helped by his girlfriend, but soon passed away being in hospital.
