A puppy with an advanced age was lucky to be adopted by a loving family

All dogs deserve to be loved and have a warm home

A 12-year-old puppy named Mitch is a treeing walker coonhound. He was a homeless one living at a station. Then he was saved, but had a very tired and stressed appearance. He was transported to a shelter in North Carolina. And with the help of shelter workers, Mitch became a healthy and adorable puppy.

Mitch couldn’t imagine he would have to wait for almost 7 years to be adopted. Many people consider, that a shepherd dog can’t be a pet and as Mitch is already old no one wanted to adopt him.

A shelter manager named Jodi Henkel considers, that all dogs deserve to have a happy and loving life. And also Mitch is a very loyal and sweet dog.

And finally, after seven years the puppy was successfully adopted. A woman named Teresa Shular watched his video and was deeply touched by it, so she considered to adopt him immediately. The woman wanted to adopt the puppy as soon as possible, as e was the shelter’s oldest puppy. Shular and her husband considered keeping Mitch as long as possible and give him a lot of love and attention in order he could forget all the seven years of waiting.

The poor dog waited for 7 years in order to have a loving home in his last days of life. He has always waited for someone to adopt him and never lost his hope.

Now Mitch lives happily with his new family. Mitch’s story demonstrates, that elder dogs should be adopted, as they deserve it.
