For a few hours, it looked like old times again. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were seen together over the weekend as they reunited to celebrate their son Samuel’s 14th birthday.
The former couple spent part of Saturday afternoon at Combat Paintball Park in Castaic, California, where the celebration took place. Photographers captured them arriving at the outdoor venue while Samuel and a couple of his friends followed close behind.
Garner kept her head slightly lowered as she walked, while Affleck carried paintball gear and looked ahead. The two appeared calm and focused on the event rather than the cameras surrounding them.
Although they moved around the park separately at times, the outing showed how the two continue to come together when it comes to their children.
Garner and Affleck got together in 2005 and separated in 2016. Despite the end of their relationship, they have built a reputation for maintaining a respectful co-parenting dynamic.
Besides Samuel, the former couple share two daughters: Violet, 20, and Seraphina, 17.
Over the years, they have often reunited for family moments — birthdays, school events, and holidays — making it clear that their focus remains on keeping life stable for their children.
Just last March, the two were even seen briefly holding hands during another paintball outing with Samuel, sparking speculation about how close they remain as co-parents.
For this birthday celebration, however, the message seemed simple.
No drama. No headlines.
Just two parents showing up for their son.
