Princess Beatrice has made a quiet but unmistakable choice: to remain by her father’s side at a moment when nearly everyone else has turned away. As Prince Andrew continues to face isolation following his fall from royal life, it is his eldest daughter who has emerged as his last visible supporter.
Andrew’s downfall has been severe. King Charles III stripped his younger brother of royal privileges and public duties following the scandal surrounding his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. While Andrew lost his standing, his daughters — Beatrice and Eugenie — were allowed to retain their titles, with the King making clear they would not be punished for their father’s actions.
But the consequences didn’t end there. Andrew was also forced to leave Royal Lodge in Windsor, the sprawling residence he had called home for more than two decades. The eviction marked another humiliating chapter in his retreat from royal life.
Family relationships have fractured as well. According to sources, Andrew’s younger daughter, Princess Eugenie, 35, has completely severed ties with her father after months of damaging revelations. Insiders describe the break as total, with no communication between them. Eugenie reportedly refused to visit Andrew over Christmas, a decision that deeply affected him.
Eugenie’s stance is closely tied to her values. She co-founded The Anti-Slavery Collective, an organization dedicated to fighting human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Sources say she has been particularly troubled by Andrew’s refusal to publicly apologize to Epstein’s victims.
Beatrice, 37, has taken a very different approach. While carefully protecting her position within the royal family, she has continued to maintain contact with her father. In December, she invited Andrew to the christening of her 11-month-old daughter Athena in London, though he did not attend the pub gathering that followed.
Most recently, Beatrice made her support visible in public. She joined Andrew for a horse ride at Windsor Castle, bringing along her four-year-old daughter Sienna so that Andrew could spend time with his granddaughter. The trio were later seen together at the Royal Stables before walking through Home Park.
After the outing, Beatrice visited Royal Lodge with Andrew and her daughter — the home where she herself grew up. Andrew is expected to vacate the 30-room property imminently. His belongings are already being removed, and staff who served him have reportedly received severance pay.
King Charles has arranged temporary accommodation for Andrew on the Sandringham estate, though the arrangement came with a further blow: Andrew was asked not to move in until after the royal family’s Christmas holiday had ended. Following that, he is expected to settle into a modest cottage, Marsh Farm, in Norfolk, where renovations are scheduled to be completed by Easter.
As Andrew’s world continues to shrink, the contrast between his daughters could not be sharper. One has walked away completely. The other has chosen loyalty — carefully measured, quietly visible, and deeply personal.
