Meghan Markle Shares Rare Video of Princess Lilibet and Opens Up About the Childhood That Shaped Her

Meghan Markle has shared a rare family moment with her five-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, while also opening up about the experiences that shaped her childhood.

The 45-year-old Duchess of Sussex posted a video of herself and Lilibet making jam together in the kitchen. Meghan stirred berries in a saucepan while her daughter helped with the mixture nearby.

“What do you think, Lili?” Meghan asked.

“I think it’s beautiful,” the little girl replied with an American accent.

Meghan also shared childhood photographs with her mother, Doria Ragland, and recalled how early she began trying to earn her own money. She said that at around eight years old, she used her grandmother’s Singer sewing machine to make scrunchies, which she sold for one dollar each.

Later, she sold Girl Scout cookies and lemonade, worked in an ice cream shop and tried several other jobs. According to Meghan, an entrepreneurial spirit has always been part of her personality.

The duchess shared the memories while celebrating an anniversary of her brand. Another photo showed her with Prince Harry at home as they looked through products arranged inside a large woven basket.

Meghan also remembered the lifestyle blog she ran before marrying Harry. Reflecting on her journey, she said she once believed that behind every successful woman stands the woman herself, but now recognizes the importance of a supportive community and team around her.

Her account of a difficult childhood has previously been challenged by her older half-sister Samantha Markle. Samantha has argued that Meghan enjoyed a more comfortable upbringing, pointing to her private education and her father Thomas Markle’s financial support.

Meghan and Harry returned to the UK in August after six years in the United States. They are not working members of the royal family and do not officially represent the monarchy.

The couple are parents to seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet, who received their titles after their grandfather King Charles III ascended the throne. The children are now attending a private school outside London.

For followers, however, Meghan’s latest post offered something rarely seen — a quiet everyday moment between the duchess and her young daughter away from formal royal appearances.
