Kelly Ripa Showed Off Her Snowed-In NYC Home — Then Hosted ‘Live’ Without an Audience

Kelly Ripa gave fans a rare glimpse into her New York City life as a powerful winter storm blanketed the East Coast. Just hours before heading to work, the 55-year-old television host shared views from inside her Manhattan townhouse, now buried under fresh snow.

On January 25, Ripa posted photos to her Instagram Stories revealing the heavy snowfall covering her private patio. Another image captured the rooftop terrace and surrounding greenery completely dusted in white, turning the normally polished outdoor space into a quiet winter scene.

The snowfall came as Winter Storm Fern swept through the region, dumping more than 12 inches of snow across parts of New York. The storm disrupted daily routines across the city — including live television.

Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, have lived in the townhouse for 12 years. Over time, the property has taken on deep personal meaning for the couple. They’ve previously described it as their favorite place in the world.

In a December 2024 interview, Ripa reflected on the emotional pull of the home, saying that after moving several times throughout her life, this was the place that finally felt permanent. From the moment she walked in, she knew it was where she wanted to stay.

The storm’s impact didn’t stop at her doorstep. Because of the dangerous weather conditions, the January 26 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark was filmed without a studio audience — an unusual and noticeably quieter setting for the daytime show.

Ripa addressed the empty seats with humor. After a small round of applause from the limited crew, she joked that it sounded loud considering how few people were actually there, leaning into the surreal atmosphere created by the storm.

Between the snow-covered views at home and the stripped-down studio at work, the day offered an unfiltered snapshot of life in New York when the city slows down — even for someone used to being live on air every morning.
