The 19-year-old daughter of Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams was recently spotted enjoying a casual day in New York City, drawing attention for her striking resemblance to her late father.
Matilda has grown into a young woman who carries more and more of her father’s features with each passing year. After staying out of the public eye for six months, she was seen shopping in Manhattan. Dressed in a black top, denim skirt, and red flats, she completed her look with a heart-shaped pendant and gold hoop earrings.
Later, she was photographed riding a Citi Bike through the city, wearing a blue-and-white sweater. Her long chestnut hair, reminiscent of her father’s, flowed freely in the breeze as she pedaled along.
Born in 2005, Matilda lost her father at the age of two, when Heath Ledger tragically passed away in 2008 at just 28 years old. Since then, she has largely avoided the spotlight. Michelle Williams has often shared that her daughter reminds her deeply of Ledger, describing her as a joyful and beautiful girl who is the mirror image of her dad.
In recent years, Matilda has been occasionally seen with her mother. Back in August, the pair were spotted walking hand-in-hand in New York, with Matilda towering over her petite mother. Following Michelle’s marriage to director Thomas Kail in 2020, Matilda also became an older sister to three step-siblings.
