Tom Cruise showed a completely different side of himself during his appearance on Jennifer Hudson’s show, proving that he is more than willing to loosen up when the moment calls for it.
Before the Hollywood star even made it into the studio, members of the show’s team were waiting for him in the hallway with a special surprise.
Hudson’s staff have created their own unusual tradition for welcoming celebrity guests. They gather in the corridor outside the studio, singing and dancing as the guest walks past, transforming the hallway into what they call the show’s “happy place.”
When Cruise arrived, the team had prepared something especially fitting for him. Taking inspiration from a memorable dance moment from the actor’s younger years, they turned the hallway into a spontaneous little rock ’n’ roll party.
Cruise immediately embraced the surprise. Instead of simply walking through and watching everyone else perform, he put on his black sunglasses, joined the rhythm and began dancing alongside the team.
The unexpected performance quickly became a playful moment before his television appearance, with Cruise enthusiastically joining the celebration as the cameras captured everything.
Before heading into the studio, the actor warmly thanked the team for their welcome. He then formed a heart with his hands before continuing on his way.
Unsurprisingly, the video quickly attracted attention across social media. The show’s team jokingly summed up the reaction by saying that “the internet wasn’t ready” to see this side of Tom Cruise.
