There is hardly anyone who hasn’t watched at least one of the episodes of «Harry Potter», a British fantasy series that gained immense popularity becoming a cultural phenomenon. Among the leading trio there was a young actress whose artistic talent and charisma melted all the viewers’ hearts.

It was during the 2019 interview with British Vogue that she first described herself as self-partnered thus raised everyone’s eyebrows.

«I never believed the whole I’m happy single spiel. I was like, This is totally spiel. It took me a long time, but I’m very happy. I call it being self-partnered».

She has also admitted that most of her close friends are people she once got set up on a date which didn’t work out. This, however, doesn’t mean that people like her never date anyone or get married. It is described as that person is committed to knowing oneself first.

Watson described her separation from musician Chris Martin with the term conscious uncoupling. Being self-partnered is a term that actually describes the psychological implications and narratives behind the phrases being single and getting a divorce.
