It was in San Francisco in 1976 that Alicia Silverstone was born and raised in a strict family. Her parents acknowledged her acting talent and potential letting her pursue a path as an actress. Initially, they sent her pictures to modeling agencies and TV studios which marked the beginning of her career in the entertainment industry.
However surprising it might seem, she was only 6 when she landed her first commercial which opened even more doors in TV and shows for her. Her first major role was in «The Crush» where she portrayed a young girl which brought her career into a whole new level.
Apart from the success she has achieved, Silverstone is among the most down-to-earth and humblest celebrities. Concerning her personal life, she crossed paths with her future husband, musician Christopher Jarecki in 2005. They got married at Lake Tahoe accompanied only by their relatives and close friends.
Besides her acting career, she is also an animal rights activist and vegetarian. Having been together for already 13 years, they live a quiet life and raise their son Bear Blu away from the spotlight. Silverstone puts her family first being a devoted housewife and mother.
