Orville can be a restrained rat. He is a little timid about new people until he sees them associating with his closest companion, a more outgoing rabbit named Wilbur.

Wilbur and Orville joined the Iowa Animal Salvation League in late September after they were captured by regional police in a cobweb that’d been prepared for cats.
Both are young, approximately a year old or even younger, healthy and obviously not feral. They seem to have known each other well as well, probably living jointly before they escaped or broke free.
When they reached the refugee, Orville seemingly sought Wilbur’s security and companionship. On the very first day that someone made an attempt to pick him up, Orville made up his mind to burrow under the rabbit’s belly.
The shelter personnel placed the couple together and they have been joyful ever since.
