Sometimes the commonest deeds can make a great difference.
Just ask Caio Giovanni and the tiny creature whose life he probably rescued.

Recently, Giovanni was driving a van on a dry path in Mato Grosso, Brazil, as soon as a small obstacle ahead alerted him. He made up his mind to stop and take a closer look and detected an exhausted armadillo.
“I spotted that he was unwell,” Giovanni told The Dodo. “He seemed to be asking me for something… for assistance.”
Luckily, Giovanni was pretty generous to help him. Recalling that he had a water tank in his van, Giovanni brought the armadillo there and opened the bottle.

Giovanni watched as the armadillo dived into the refreshing stream, waiting for it to feed.
Then, moving the chair to a shadier location, Giovanni gave him a banana in case he got hungry.
Then they divided. One whose life was rescued by this momentary stop; another whose spirit was lifted by the opportunity to assist.
“I left him at the edge of the wood,” said Giovanni. “He was alright now.”
