Aaron Taylor-Johnson marked his wife’s birthday with a romantic getaway to Italy. The 35-year-old actor took his wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson, to Rome to celebrate her 59th birthday together.
Aaron later shared a series of photos from their trip on social media. The images showed the couple posing together in the Italian capital, as well as snapshots of artwork from museums they visited during their stay.
Alongside the pictures, the actor wrote a short but affectionate message:
“We… in Rome. Happy birthday, baby.”
Sam also posted several photos from the trip, including a playful shot of Aaron jumping mid-air.
The couple has built a large blended family together. They share two daughters — Romy, 14, and Wylda, 15. Sam also has two older daughters, Angelica and Jessie, from her previous marriage to art dealer Jay Jopling.
Aaron and Sam first met in 2009 while working on the film Nowhere Boy, which marked Sam’s directorial debut and told the story of John Lennon’s early life. Aaron played the young Lennon in the film.
Their relationship began when Aaron was 18 and Sam was 41, which drew considerable public attention at the time. Just a few months later, they announced their engagement.
Three years after that, the couple married and adopted the shared surname Taylor-Johnson. In June 2022, they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows.
Aaron often marks Sam’s birthday with heartfelt social media posts. Last year, he shared photos from their travels together and wrote another loving message:
“Happy birthday, beautiful! I love spending every minute with you.”
More than a decade later, their relationship still appears as strong as ever.
