Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann skipped the candlelit dinner this Valentine’s Day and chose something far chillier — and far more memorable.
The longtime couple spent the romantic holiday at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, swapping traditional date-night vibes for snowy mountains and roaring crowds.

Hargitay shared a cozy selfie on Instagram over the weekend, giving followers a glimpse of their unconventional celebration. In the photo, the Law & Order: SVU star wraps her arms around Hermann as they stand among spectators facing a ski run. The background buzzes with Olympic energy, but the focus stays firmly on the two of them.

She dressed for the cold in a white puffer jacket and topped off the look with a burgundy knit beanie embroidered with Lindsey Vonn’s last name. Vonn wrapped up her Olympic run the previous week after crashing just 13 seconds into a race she entered while competing with a ruptured ACL.
Hargitay and Hermann have been married since 2004 and share three children: son August, 19, born in 2006, daughter Amaya Josephine, 14, adopted in 2011, and son Andrew Nicholas, 13, adopted six months after Amaya.

After two decades together and countless Valentine’s Days celebrated side by side, this Olympic edition may be their most unexpected yet. No roses. No red carpet. Just snow, sport, and a selfie that quietly says everything.
