How old were you when you finally learnt the right way to hang your toilet fresheners? 🚽🧴 It might seem something simple, but most of us have been placing it the wrong way all along that lets the unpleasant odors out and prevents the toilet seat from closing properly! 🤢👎 Suddenly, I have discovered the right way how to do that and will share the trick with you too in this article! 👇
We live in a world where people send rockets into space, yet somehow, I spent my entire life misusing a simple toilet freshener. It wasn’t until recently—during a routine cleaning—that I had a sudden realization. I had been placing it the wrong way all along!
Most people, myself included, instinctively hang the toilet block over the rim, with the plastic clip resting on the outer edge. It seems logical, right? However, this small mistake can actually cause issues you might not have noticed before:
The plastic clip prevents the toilet seat from closing properly.
If someone with a bit more weight sits down, the seat could crack due to the gap.
Unpleasant odors can escape through the small opening.
After years of doing it wrong, I finally discovered the correct method:
Instead of clipping the freshener over the edge, flip it around and attach it inside the toilet rim. You might need to apply a bit of pressure, but once in place, the seat will close snugly, eliminating gaps and preventing odors from escaping.
Not only does this method keep the seat secure, but it also allows you to reposition the freshener as needed. If it’s been sitting on one side for a while, just slide it over to the other side to maximize its cleaning power.
Did you already know about this trick, or have you been making the same mistake all these years?
