Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have officially concluded their divorce after ending their relationship in August 2024. Both parties have agreed to keep the assets they each acquired during their brief two-year marriage, with no spousal support being exchanged between them.
Affleck will retain his share in Artists Equity, the production company he co-founded with Matt Damon in 2022. This company has produced many hit films.
Lopez, during their marriage, was also involved in several high-profile projects.
The former spouses reached an understanding about their $61 million shared mansion, though the terms remain private, and the property is still up for sale.
Interestingly, the two did not have a prenuptial agreement before divorcing, which typically results in a 50-50 division of assets. However, their settlement, arranged by well-known divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, mirrors the conditions of a bridal agreement.
In a notable shift, Lopez has decided to remove Affleck’s surname and return to her original name, Jennifer Lynn Lopez.
The separation is set to be officially concluded by February 20, 2025.
