It is no more a secret that doing renovation on one’s own is a great and the most efficient way of saving money and getting the most desirable results. One can not only do it on a small budget, but also take control of the whole process.
Today’s interesting article is about a 5 sq. m. kitchen which has been changed beyond recognition by its owners. Its state left a lot to be desired and urgently needed a fresher look. The outdated furniture and old-fashioned orange wallpapers were not serviceable anymore.
Given the budget, no changes to the layout were made which obviously saved significant amount of money and effort. The only exception became the dismantling of the mezzanine which visually increased the height of the ceiling of the corridor.
After removing the old wallpaper, the walls were leveled and painted in gray and white colors which gave the room a fresher look as well as visual more spaciousness. The cooking area, on the other hand, was painted in warm colors so as to keep the balance.
Interestingly enough, the owners have plans to sell the house.
