Scarlett Johansson had someone special by her side for her latest big night in New York. The 41-year-old actress attended the premiere of her new film Paper Tiger, stepping onto the red carpet with husband Colin Jost in what has become a relatively rare joint public appearance for the couple.
The premiere, held last Friday, officially opened the New York Film Festival. Johansson was also joined by her co-stars Adam Driver and Miles Teller as the cast celebrated the crime drama’s latest screening.
Scarlett kept her outfit short and sophisticated for the occasion. She wore a gray Prada mohair mini dress featuring a boat neckline and carefully placed draping around the waist. The understated color allowed the silhouette and texture of the dress to take center stage.
She added a little shine with silver stiletto sandals and introduced a contrasting touch with a pink Prada handbag.
Jost, 44, who works as a writer on Saturday Night Live, coordinated subtly with his wife rather than trying to match her outfit exactly. He chose a checked suit whose muted palette complemented Scarlett’s gray mini dress as the two posed together for photographers.
Their appearance drew extra attention because Johansson and Jost have not been frequent fixtures on red carpets together lately. This time, however, they stayed close while celebrating an important professional moment for the actress.
Paper Tiger, directed by James Gray, follows brothers Harry and Isaac as they pursue their version of the American dream. Their ambitions take a darker turn when the Russian mafia begins threatening their families, forcing them into a brutal environment shaped by violence and corruption.
The movie had already made its international debut before arriving in New York. Its world premiere took place at the 79th Cannes Film Festival.
Away from the screen, Johansson and Jost have been together for nearly a decade. Their relationship began in 2017, and three years later the couple married.
They expanded their family the following year with the birth of their son, Cosmo.
Johansson is also a mother to daughter Rose from her previous marriage to French journalist Romain Dauriac. Before that relationship, the actress was married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 until 2011.
Although Scarlett and Colin generally keep much of their family life away from public view, their New York appearance offered a rare glimpse of them together. With coordinated outfits and Jost supporting his wife at the premiere of her latest project, the couple turned the festival opening into a date night in front of the cameras.
