Margot Robbie has been spotted filming on the French Riviera in a striking 1960s-inspired beach look alongside Bradley Cooper. The 36-year-old actress and her 51-year-old co-star are currently working on a new prequel to “Ocean’s Eleven.”
In the upcoming movie, Robbie and Cooper portray the parents of Danny Ocean, the character played by George Clooney in the 2001 film. The story takes place around Monaco in 1962, where their characters are preparing for a major robbery, giving the production plenty of opportunities to recreate the fashion of the era.
For the latest beach scenes, Robbie wore a sapphire-blue bikini featuring a fitted top and lace-up boy-short bottoms. The look highlighted her slim figure after welcoming her first child in October 2024.
The Australian actress was photographed emerging from the sea with wet hair before walking across the beach toward the production crew, where Cooper was waiting.
His costume was equally retro. Cooper appeared shirtless in burgundy printed swim shorts and a wide-brimmed pale-blue hat. The actor also displayed his toned physique and defined abs while cameras prepared for the scene.
It wasn’t the first time Robbie and Cooper had attracted attention during filming. They were previously photographed together on a balcony overlooking picturesque Villefranche-sur-Mer while shooting an intimate sequence.
During that scene, the two actors shared a passionate kiss for the cameras. Robbie wore a white-and-turquoise off-the-shoulder midi dress, while Cooper appeared in a simple white tank top.
The ensemble cast also includes Monica Barbaro, Vicky Krieps, George MacKay, Jack Holden, Lauren Ridloff, Omar Sy, Wagner Moura and Josh Gad. Jay Roach is directing the project, with Robbie having been attached to the leading role since the prequel was first announced.
The “Ocean’s Eleven” franchise has a long history. Steven Soderbergh’s successful 2001 movie was itself a remake of the 1960 film starring Frank Sinatra. It was followed by “Ocean’s Twelve” in 2004 and “Ocean’s Thirteen” in 2007, while the female-led spin-off “Ocean’s 8” arrived in 2018.
Away from filming, Robbie has been married to film producer Tom Ackerley since 2016. The couple welcomed their first son in October 2024.
Cooper shares nine-year-old daughter Lea with his former partner Irina Shayk. More recently, reports have linked his private life to Gigi Hadid, with speculation that the pair quietly married after they were seen wearing rings in Paris.
