Kevin Costner has sparked curiosity after being spotted on an unexpectedly ordinary outing with an attractive blonde companion. The 71-year-old Hollywood actor was photographed grocery shopping with the woman, whose playful behavior toward him attracted attention.
The pair appeared completely at ease as they walked through the store together. Costner smiled broadly while they browsed the aisles and filled their cart with everyday groceries.
Their purchases reportedly included steaks, vegetables, grapefruit juice and a box of cereal. At one point, Costner’s companion appeared to take charge of the shopping, pointing toward selections at the meat counter as the actor stood beside her.
The blonde woman chose a particularly casual outfit for the trip, stepping out in extremely short shorts. She and Costner seemed unconcerned about being recognized as they chatted and completed their shopping together.
After paying, the pair headed across the parking lot toward Costner’s gray Mercedes-Benz. The Oscar winner was even seen returning their shopping cart before leaving.
The seemingly routine outing took place only a few miles from the Santa Barbara County courthouse connected to Costner’s highly publicized divorce proceedings and child-support arrangements.
His divorce from second wife Christine Baumgartner, 52, was finalized in February 2024 following approximately two decades of marriage and a contentious legal dispute involving finances and assets.
Costner and Baumgartner share three children: Cayden, 19, Hayes, 17, and Grace, 16.
The two-time Oscar winner was ordered to pay $63,000 per month in child support. Baumgartner had initially requested $248,000 monthly, arguing that their children had become accustomed to the affluent lifestyle enjoyed by the family.
Their separation also produced a bitter disagreement over their home. Costner eventually used legal proceedings to require his former wife to leave their $145 million oceanfront property in Carpinteria.
Baumgartner has since moved forward with her personal life. She married financier Josh Connor, who had previously been a friend of Costner, after her divorce from the actor.
Costner’s latest outing has now shifted attention back toward his own private life. Whether the blonde accompanying him was simply a friend or someone closer was not established, but their relaxed interaction certainly made an otherwise ordinary grocery run considerably more intriguing.
