Courteney Cox turned her latest red-carpet appearance into a special family moment. The 62-year-old “Friends” star stepped out with her 22-year-old daughter Coco, marking one of their rare public appearances together.
Mother and daughter attended the 51st Toronto International Film Festival, where Cox arrived to present her latest work behind the camera.
Coco was there to support her mother as Cox introduced “Evil Genius,” her second feature-length project as a director. The actress and filmmaker was also joined by the movie’s leading stars, David Harbour and Patricia Arquette, the sister of her former husband.
The appearance offered a rare opportunity to see Coco alongside her famous mother. Now 22, she has largely remained outside the constant celebrity spotlight despite growing up surrounded by some of Hollywood’s most recognizable names.
Coco is Cox’s only daughter from her marriage to actor David Arquette. The former couple first met while working on the horror movie “Scream” in 1996 and later married.
Another “Friends” connection has always been part of Coco’s life: Jennifer Aniston, one of Cox’s closest friends and her longtime co-star on the sitcom, is her godmother.
Cox and Arquette separated after 11 years of marriage in 2010 and eventually divorced.
The actress later began a long-term relationship with Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid. They announced their engagement in 2014 but never made it down the aisle. Cox revealed in 2019 that they had ended the engagement while choosing to remain together as a couple.
Their relationship eventually came to an end, with reports of their final split emerging last summer after roughly a decade together.
Before marrying Arquette, Cox also had another high-profile Hollywood romance. She dated actor Michael Keaton from 1989 until 1995.
This time, however, Cox’s romantic history was far from the focus. Her TIFF appearance belonged to her latest directing project and the rare sight of grown-up Coco proudly accompanying her mother on the red carpet.
