Amal Clooney Dazzles in Head-to-Toe White During Elegant Appearance at the Temple of Olympian Zeus

Amal Clooney has arrived in Athens for the Annual Meeting of UNESCO Goodwill Ambassadors, combining a busy schedule of official engagements with another characteristically elegant public appearance.

On Thursday afternoon, September 7, the renowned lawyer and human rights activist visited the Temple of Olympian Zeus as a guest of UNESCO’s new Goodwill Ambassador, Konstantza Sbokou Constantakopoulou.

For her appearance at the historic site, Clooney opted for an elegant all-white ensemble. With her signature smile and relaxed demeanor, she appeared particularly cheerful as she arrived among the ancient surroundings.

Clooney and Constantakopoulou spent time talking at the Temple of Olympian Zeus as part of an event centered on the protection and preservation of cultural heritage.

Her schedule in Athens continues later in the evening with an official dinner at the Acropolis Museum at 20:30. Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotakis will speak at the event, while proceeds will support UNESCO’s Fund for Culture and its efforts to combat the illegal trafficking of cultural property.

Earlier in the day, Clooney had another important appointment at the Maximos Mansion. She met Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, with Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotakis also present.

Their conversation focused on culture and cultural diplomacy, including particular attention to the long-running issue surrounding the reunification of the Parthenon Sculptures.

For Clooney, the subject is far from unfamiliar. She has extensive knowledge of its legal dimensions and has been involved with Greece’s claim concerning the sculptures since 2014.

Her latest trip therefore brings her back to an issue she has followed for more than a decade, while her striking white appearance at one of Athens’ most recognizable archaeological sites added an unmistakably glamorous note to the official visit.
