Anne Hathaway put her growing baby bump firmly in the spotlight during a glamorous night out in New York. The 43-year-old actress attended a Bvlgari reception wearing an elegant floor-length gown that flowed loosely around her changing figure.
For the red carpet, Hathaway chose a lilac draped McQueen dress worth £3,100. Made from lightweight chiffon, the romantic design left her shoulders bare and featured a sweetheart neckline. Silver stiletto sandals completed the look.
The Oscar winner added plenty of sparkle with Bvlgari diamonds and amethysts. She wore understated earrings, a substantial pendant necklace, a bracelet and several rings.
Her beauty look provided a stronger contrast to the delicate gown. Hathaway wore bright red lipstick, while her hair was styled in sleek, straight lengths. As photographers surrounded her, the expectant mother repeatedly rested a hand on and gently stroked her rounded stomach.
Pregnancy clearly hasn’t slowed down her professional schedule. Hathaway has already presented several major projects this year, including “Mother Mary,” “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” “The Odyssey” and “The End of Oak Street.” Her thriller “The Secret Diary at Dawn” is scheduled to arrive in theaters in September.
Another major role was revealed last week. Hathaway is set to appear opposite Tom Cruise in “Days of Thunder 2,” replacing Nicole Kidman, who avoids crossing paths with her former husband. The original movie was released in 1990.
Hathaway reportedly intends to return to work almost immediately after giving birth, and her packed schedule has surprised fans. “Does Anne ever sleep?”, “She’s a workaholic who’s afraid of unemployment,” “I love busy women,” “Anne wants to earn all the money in the world,” and “Is she the only actress on Earth?
