Her private life has been closely connected to the world of luxury fashion for many years. Since 2009, Hayek has been married to French billionaire François-Henri Pinault. He is the head of Kering, the fashion conglomerate behind brands including Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen, among others.
