Nicole Kidman made an unexpected style statement while leaving Australia with her younger daughter. The 59-year-old actress was photographed at Sydney Airport alongside 15-year-old Faith, and her youthful travel outfit immediately stood out.
Kidman had been in Australia to promote “Practical Magic 2,” which reunites her with Sandra Bullock 28 years after the original film. The morning after the Sydney premiere, she and Faith, her daughter with Keith Urban, were spotted rushing to catch a flight to Los Angeles.
Instead of keeping things low-key for the airport, Kidman chose a cropped sheer blue top decorated with ruffles and lace, with a gold-toned openwork layer underneath. She paired it with high-waisted flared jeans featuring patch pockets and copper buttons. A beige baseball cap, matching ballet flats, sunglasses and a large black matte-leather Chanel bag completed the look.
The outfit gave Kidman such a youthful appearance that she could have raided her teenage daughter’s wardrobe. Ironically, Faith was the more restrained of the two. She traveled in a black tank top, white sporty trousers, a velour hoodie and light sneakers, adding several pieces of yellow-gold jewelry. Before boarding, Kidman warmly embraced a gray-haired man who had come to see them off.
Just a day earlier, the actress had looked completely different at Sydney’s HOYTS Cinemas Entertainment Quarter. For the special screening, she wore an ivory satin Erdem Resort 2027 gown with floral lace, draping and embroidered red roses, finishing the elegant outfit with bright red stiletto pumps.
Celebrating her reunion with Bullock, Kidman addressed the audience: “How wonderful that 28 years later, we women are still here. I couldn’t let you drink cocktails without me! Thank you for decades of support. I love you.”
Kidman had already created a memorable moment during another premiere for the movie in Los Angeles, where she appeared with Sandra Bullock, Maisie Williams and Joey King. Her particularly cheerful behavior sparked amused reactions online after she laughed loudly and occasionally seemed to lose track of the questions being asked.
When asked about the designer behind her outfit, she hesitated before replying: “Huh? It’s Versace. It’s time to have fun. Let’s have a party!”
