Katie Holmes is enjoying an Italian escape with her boyfriend, artist Jason Bard Yarmosky. The couple headed to Lake Como, where both have shared glimpses of their romantic vacation on social media.
At 47, Holmes looked relaxed as she soaked up the sunshine in a swimsuit aboard a boat, while 39-year-old Yarmosky took the controls. With an eight-year age difference between them, the pair appeared completely at ease as they spent their days exploring the picturesque surroundings together.
Their trip hasn’t been limited to time on the water. Holmes and Yarmosky have also been discovering the area and enjoying dinners at local restaurants, turning the getaway into a mix of sightseeing, quiet moments and evenings out. Alongside photos from their Italian break, Yarmosky wrote: “Life is the friend of art.”
Holmes’ personal life has attracted intense attention ever since her marriage to Tom Cruise. The former couple were married for six years before their relationship ended in a highly publicized divorce, after which they reportedly stopped communicating entirely.
At the time of their separation, reports linked the breakdown of the marriage to Holmes’ concerns over Cruise’s involvement with Scientology. She was said to have been particularly worried about the future of their only daughter together, Suri, and feared the girl could eventually be sent to a closed religious boarding school and separated from her mother.
Suri recently turned 20 and has since officially dropped her father’s surname.
