Jennifer Aniston stepped into an unusual role when she joined her boyfriend, hypnotherapist Jim Curtis, on stage for a public conversation connected to the presentation of his book.
The 57-year-old actress interviewed the 50-year-old Curtis during an event for The Book of Possibility, which focuses on psychological well-being. The couple appeared together at Kaufmann Concert Hall at 92NY, and Curtis later shared footage from the evening on his Instagram Stories.
At the beginning of their conversation, Aniston revealed that returning to the venue brought back memories from her childhood. She explained that she had attended a nearby Steiner school and regularly came to the gym there on Thursdays.
Aniston joked that she was never particularly athletic but was required to play dodgeball with enormous red balls. Because they played indoors rather than on a proper field, she remembered having to run as though she were “saving her life.” Standing there decades later beside Curtis, she described the moment as coming full circle.
The actress also revealed something more personal about their relationship. According to Aniston, Curtis helped her deal with her fear of speaking publicly by teaching her to manage her anxiety through meditation.
Their conversation ended on a playful note. Aniston turned to her boyfriend and asked, “Did I embarrass you a lot?” Curtis laughed before replying: “Very much.”
Aniston and Curtis have been dating for more than a year. The couple have already been photographed together several times while vacationing, and their relationship has gradually become more public.
Curtis is a well-known American hypnotherapist and coach who regularly discusses psychological well-being on social media. Alongside his online work and writing, he continues to consult with clients.
Before her relationship with Curtis, Aniston was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 until 2005. She later married actor Justin Theroux, with their marriage ending in divorce in 2018 after six years together.
