Jennifer Aniston appears to be taking her relationship with Jim Curtis to a more serious level. The 57-year-old actress recently brought her boyfriend into her closest social circle, spending an evening with longtime friends and former Friends co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow.
The group was spotted having dinner together at a restaurant in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. For the evening, Jennifer wore a fitted black top with a matching maxi skirt featuring a contrasting floral print. She completed her look with high-heeled sandals.
Jim kept his appearance considerably more casual, choosing a dark outfit. With his hair brushed back and light stubble, he stayed close to Jennifer as they joined her famous friends for the evening.
Courteney Cox arrived wearing a black maxi dress with a plunging neckline, while Lisa Kudrow opted for an airy white blouse teamed with black trousers. Other members of Aniston’s close circle were also present, including Arrested Development stars Jason Bateman and Will Arnett, who attended with their companions.
Curtis appeared completely at ease among Jennifer’s celebrity friends. The group apparently had plenty to talk about, as their evening did not immediately end after dinner. They remained outside for some time, continuing their animated conversation before eventually heading home.
According to an insider, Courteney and Lisa are not the only people close to Jennifer whom Jim has met. Aniston has reportedly introduced him to other friends in her circle, which includes Sandra Bullock, Adam Sandler and Sean Hayes.
The source claimed that Curtis has fitted naturally into Jennifer’s social life and that her friends have responded positively to him. This is reportedly especially important for the actress because she does not feel that she needs to convince anyone around her to like her boyfriend.
Dinner parties, movie nights and premieres have apparently become comfortable occasions for the couple. According to the insider, Jennifer feels relaxed when Jim is beside her because he is easy to communicate with and does not appear intimidated by the famous people surrounding her.
Jennifer and Jim celebrated the first anniversary of their relationship in May. The couple were also reportedly planning a romantic vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, after the actress completed work on the fifth and final season of The Morning Show.
Sources close to Aniston have claimed that she is deeply in love with Curtis and hopes their relationship will last. Spending uninterrupted time together away from their professional commitments was therefore said to be particularly important to the couple.
Another quality Jennifer reportedly appreciates is the absence of professional competition between them. In some of her previous relationships with famous men, including Brad Pitt, Vince Vaughn, John Mayer and Justin Theroux, she reportedly experienced a stronger sense of rivalry.
Curtis, by contrast, is said to have little interest in Hollywood fame or using Jennifer’s connections to advance his own career. According to the insider, that difference allows Aniston to feel more comfortable and simply enjoy the relationship without the pressures that previously accompanied dating another celebrity.
