Kate Middleton made a composed appearance alongside Prince William and their eldest son, Prince George, as the royal family gathered for Sunday church service at Balmoral. The Princess of Wales appeared calm despite a particularly tense period surrounding the monarchy.
William and Kate attended the service at the small Crathie Kirk church following a royal “summit” held in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Their eldest child, George, joined his parents for the occasion.
The family were photographed while traveling by car. Kate sat in the front passenger seat wearing an elegant coat and a sophisticated suede hat, looking perfectly composed as photographers captured her through the window.
Prince William was behind the wheel, while George could be seen sitting in the back. The low-key car journey offered a rare glimpse of the future king accompanying his parents during an official family gathering.
Several other senior royals attended the service as well. King Charles III arrived with Queen Camilla, while Princess Anne was accompanied by her husband Timothy Laurence. The Duke of Edinburgh was also among those present.
The family maintained a calm public appearance even as attention around the Windsors intensifies ahead of Prince Harry’s expected return to Britain with his family. The King’s younger son, Meghan Markle and their children are expected to come back from the United States after spending six years there.
Meghan is reportedly expected to arrive in her husband’s home country before the beginning of autumn. The planned return has inevitably generated fresh interest in how the Sussexes will interact with other members of the royal family.
The Duchess of Sussex had also been considering another move after returning to Britain — a comeback to acting. The former American actress held discussions about appearing in Guy Ritchie’s series The Gentlemen.
Those plans, however, reportedly failed to move forward. Following criticism surrounding the possibility of Meghan joining the project, producers ultimately decided not to offer Prince Harry’s wife the role.
For now, William and Kate are continuing with their own royal routine. Their latest appearance with George presented a remarkably composed family picture at Balmoral, even as another potentially complicated chapter for the Windsors approaches.
