A new photo of John Goodman has caught fans by surprise. The Hollywood actor, famous for The Big Lebowski and dozens of other films, appeared noticeably slimmer after losing more than 90 kilograms.
The unexpected snapshot was shared by actor and comedian David DeLuise. The two happened to meet at a supermarket and stopped for a casual selfie together.

For 54-year-old DeLuise, the encounter was clearly special. “He is my childhood! A legend! I’m so happy I can say that about someone. Those who know, know,” he wrote alongside the picture.
Fans quickly focused on Goodman’s changed appearance. Many admitted they barely recognized him, leaving comments such as, “He’s so skinny,” “Two legends together!” and “Is that John Goodman? He’s unrecognizable.” Another follower noted that the actor looked considerably slimmer than they remembered.

Goodman has built a long Hollywood career with roles in King Ralph, Coyote Ugly, The Big Lebowski, The Artist, Argo, Flight, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, The Hangover Part III and The Flintstones, among many other productions. Some longtime viewers even affectionately describe him as their “movie dad” because he frequently portrayed fathers in films over the years.

The actor began seriously changing his lifestyle in 2007. Goodman previously explained that he transformed his eating habits, became physically active and stopped drinking alcohol. Over the years, those changes helped him lose more than 90 kilograms.
Away from the screen, Goodman has enjoyed a long marriage. He and his wife Anna Goodman have been together since 1989 and share a 35-year-old daughter, Molly.
