Dick Van Dyke, 100, Celebrates 14 Years of Marriage With Wife Arlene Silver, 54

At 100, he’s still cracking jokes — and still in love. Dick Van Dyke marked his 14th wedding anniversary with his wife, Arlene Silver, on Sunday, sharing a heartfelt and playful video with fans on Instagram.

The couple, who first crossed paths backstage at the SAG Awards in 2006, celebrated the milestone in the most relaxed way possible — sitting together in bed, answering fan questions during a live session and reminiscing about their life together.

“Today I have a very special guest to celebrate a very special day. My husband is here!” Arlene began with a smile before turning the camera toward Dick.

“I’m not shrinking — I’m just lying down,” he joked, before pointing toward his wife and adding with pride, “Hi, she’s mine!”

The legendary actor, who turned 100 in December, then opened up about the first moment he saw Arlene. At the time, she was working as a makeup artist backstage at the awards show.

“I was sitting in the dressing room where everyone waits to go on stage, and it was packed with actors and actresses,” he recalled, setting the scene of that first encounter.

Their relationship has often drawn attention because of their 46-year age gap, but the couple has consistently dismissed criticism with humor and visible affection. Over the years, they’ve appeared at events together, danced at home, and shared glimpses of a partnership built on laughter.

Fourteen years after saying “I do,” their anniversary video felt less like a public statement and more like a quiet snapshot of everyday love.

At 100, Van Dyke isn’t slowing down his wit — or his devotion.

And judging by their smiles, this chapter is still very much being written.
