What once was a worn-out two-bedroom apartment in a 50-year-old building has now been completely transformed — and the results exceeded all expectations.
The original layout felt cramped and outdated. At the designers’ suggestion, the owners removed old interior walls and reconfigured the space to improve flow and light. New heating and lighting systems were installed, setting the stage for a full transformation.
Living Room
Before the renovation, the living room was in poor shape. Now, the walls feature soft blue and beige-gray tones that bring a calming feel. The old floors were replaced with stylish parquet in a herringbone pattern, and new lighting was added to the ceiling. In front of the window, a cozy workspace appeared, complete with a vintage-style desk and chair — perfect for working or reading in natural light.
Kitchen
The kitchen was tiny, so designers opted to open it up by merging it with the hallway. A wide doorway without a door now connects the spaces, and the main entrance was rerouted through the living room. Durable ceramic tiles were used for the flooring, adding both style and practicality.
Bedroom
A unique color called “Ash Rose” was chosen for the bedroom walls, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This soft hue pairs beautifully with a green door and a vibrant yellow wardrobe, giving the room a cheerful, lively vibe.
Bathroom
The separate toilet and bathroom were combined to make space for a full-sized bathtub. Luckily, the existing plumbing was in good condition and didn’t need replacement, keeping costs down while enhancing comfort.
Hallway
Previously dark and unwelcoming, the hallway now feels airy and fresh thanks to floral wall patterns. A vintage mirror with a matching console adds character and charm, making the entrance feel both elegant and inviting.
The result? A modern, stylish, and unexpectedly bright home — far from the dated space it once was. Even the owners were stunned by the transformation.
