This girl named Turia went through a horrific event at the age of 24. One could say that her life was divided into before and after. She had everything: unique beauty, a successful career, plenty of friends and admirers. And then, everything suddenly changed. During an ultramarathon, Turia and other participants were caught in a massive bushfire. In order to survive, she had to run through the flames in search of safety which resulted in severe burns, she lost all her fingers, and 65% of her skin was burned.
Turia’s partner stayed by her side throughout her recovery. Once the worst had passed, he proposed to her. Our heroine managed to return to sports. After taking part in a half-marathon, she began raising funds for reconstructive surgery. People were inspired by her resilience and gladly offered financial support naming her Woman of the Year. While she believed his partner would leave her in search of someone with normal looks, the girl found herself stunned realizing that he never left his side.
They even built a family and welcomed kids who filled their lives with immense joy and fulfilment. Today, she and Michael enjoy every moment of their lives.
