Far not everyone is aware of the serious health condition of Michael J. Fox who is best-remembered for his appearance in «Back to the Future». It was back in 1998 that he was first diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and 2 decades have already passed.
His silent battles and constant struggles led him to contribute to raising awareness for the condition that affects thousands of people and causes uncontrollable movements and severe discomfort. It should be mentioned that he underwent a surgery to prevent paralysis. It took the doctors extra cautiousness to avoid causing further complications.
Fox had to learn to walk again after the surgery and was more than sure that the hardest part was already in the past.
«I just snapped. I was leaning against the wall in my kitchen, waiting for the ambulance to come». He describes this period as «a tsunami of misfortunate».
