My husband and I finally had enough money to move from the in-laws’ house where we had no privacy. My mother-in-law could enter our room without even knocking the door and start cleaning. «Here are newly baked pancakes, enjoy!», – once she said to us at 7 am on Sunday. Today we were enjoying time in our new house when she called and said she would be in our place in a hour!
Initially, still as newlyweds, the spouses were sharing the same house with the man’s parents. It is worth mentioning that there were no quarrels, no scandals, but to say that the couple didn’t have any privacy is nothing to say.
The mother-in-law truly loved her son’s wife and wished only the best for them. But, sometimes, she could do things which even made them angry. She could easily enter their room and start cleaning it without any request or warming.
In several years, the couple had enough money to move and start living together. Now, they had more freedom and the woman’s happiness knew no bounds. Their new apartment was far and the mother-in-law could visit them only on weekends.
Nevertheless, the spouses faced challenges again when the mother-in-law announced that she wanted to be closer to the kids and planned to move to an apartment near them. Now, she even took the keys from the man and came whenever she wanted.
The couple no longer had their privacy. Sometimes, the woman even bakes pancakes or other meals early in the morning, even on Sundays. What concerns the husband, he is always satisfied and is glad that his mother never leaves them.
