This incredibly talented, highly respected and praiseworthy actor gained worldwide fame and recognition after his role in «The Green Mile» where he brilliantly portrayed a man who was sentenced to death.
However, his real life was not the best either. He was raised by a single mother. Later, the future star had to leave both the university and basketball classes because of the lack of financial resources.
Because of his great physique, athletic body and height, he worked as a security guard, then became a bodyguard.
Later, he starred in the movie «Armageddon» alongside B. Willis. This very role paved the way for his most successful one – in «The Green Mile». Clarke also appeared in such movies as «Planet of the Apes» and «Sin City».
Unfortunately, he passed away because of the complications after a heart attack in the hospital in 2012.
