Abandoning her signature long dark hair, Katie opted for a playful, layered bob that grazes her shoulders—an effortless choice for the warmer months ahead.
Not only did Holmes switch up her hairstyle, but she also refreshed her signature chestnut hair color, lightening it a few shades to a warm, golden blonde. The new cut was styled with a side part, giving her waves that flowed effortlessly for a chic, casual vibe.
Katie completed her spring look with a bright yellow cropped sweater, featuring black-and-white striped detailing along the neckline. She paired the vibrant sweater with wide-leg jeans sitting comfortably at her waist and pointed velvet heels, completing the outfit with minimal jewelry and a pop of pink lipstick and blush.
This isn’t the first time Holmes has switched up her look for spring. Last May, she lightened her hair again, debuting sun-kissed highlights with boho waves. In recent months, she embraced darker, deeper shades for winter, sporting a dark brown hue, and even rocked a long side braid in March.
However, this latest bob is one of the shortest haircuts Katie has had in years. Back in 2014, she told PopSugar, “I love having long hair for its versatility.” Aside from short pixie cuts in 2008 and 2017, as well as a bob at the 2015 Met Gala, Holmes has generally stuck to her signature long hair, making this new bob a bold change.
